Petanque Tradition

...the fun continues

The 21st June 2009 is a stepping stone for the development of Petanque in Australia.

Thanks to the visionary thinking of the new board of Petanque-Federation-Australia, we could share now a home with a petanque-sport-club.

The cohabitation of petanque-tradition with petanque-sport will be beneficial to Petanque:

 The Tradition and Sport Petanque.

Hereunder is the welcoming article from the
Prospect Petanque Club's Newsletter of Winter-2009.

New home for

Petanque-Tradition

It may have been the shortest day of the year but the sun shone brightly on the group
gathered at the Prospect Club on Sunday 21 June for the new Petanque-Tradition
Jean Philippe's enthusiasm is contagious. "This is a picnic style social day for families,
the way petanque is played informally outside coffees and in the public places in France."

Seated at a long table, a group of about 30 people enjoyed Jean Philippe's hearty
Provencal soup with crusty bread, cold meats, cheeses and a carafe of wine. Anyone is
welcome including beginners. Some bring children or grandchildren who can play at the
playground or tennis court if not engaged in petanque play. It was good to see Trudy
back on the piste. Petanque-Tradition will be at the Club on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of
each month. Bring a picnic-lunch. Beer & wine and soft drinks are available at the Club
at very reasonable prices. For friendly, casual and fun petanque come and try
Petanque-Tradition. Put it in your diary now -
